Draft for legal review
This draft has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not in effect yet. Draft of 3 October 2026.
Who we are
Nurtrd ("we") runs nurtrd.com, a free service that helps parents and guardians organize their child's future and share ways for family to help. [Legal review: add the company's legal name and postal address.]
Information you give us
- Your account: your email address, which you use to sign in with a code.
- Your child's page: a first name or nickname, an optional age band, an optional sentence about their future, and any photos you choose to upload with the descriptions you write.
- Goals: titles, the provider, the gift link your provider gives you, your message, an optional target and any progress you choose to enter.
- Updates and plans: the updates, roadmap items and photos you post.
- Family you invite: their email addresses.
Information from family members
- When someone opens a gift link, we record that the link was opened and whether they continued to the provider. We don't ask them to sign in or tell us who they are.
- If they tell us they gave, we keep what they enter, such as an optional amount and message, for you to see.
- Family you invite confirm their email address with a code before they can see your child's private page.
Information we never ask for
Payment card or bank details, investment account logins, Social Security numbers, full dates of birth or account numbers. Gifts happen on your provider's website, and your provider handles any payment details.
How we use information
- To run Nurtrd: show your pages, send sign-in codes and send the invitations you ask us to send.
- To keep Nurtrd secure and prevent abuse.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell personal information and don't use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- Anyone with a gift link can see that gift page: the goal, your message, your child's initials or the photo you chose, and progress only if you chose to show it.
- Family you invite can see your child's private page after confirming their email.
- Our service providers process information for us: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Supabase (database and sign-in) and Resend (email delivery). [Legal review: confirm processor agreements and where data is stored.]
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies
Nurtrd uses only cookies it needs to work:
- a sign-in cookie, which expires after 30 days without use;
- a short-lived cookie while you enter a sign-in code, which expires after 15 minutes;
- a security cookie that protects forms, which expires after 7 days.
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
Nurtrd is for adults. Children don't have accounts and can't sign in. A parent or guardian adds information about their child and decides who can see it. [Legal review: confirm obligations for information about children, including under COPPA.]
Keeping and deleting information
We keep your information while you use Nurtrd. When you delete a child's page, everyone loses access immediately and the content is scheduled for deletion. You can download your data at any time. [Legal review: set retention periods, including for backups.]
Your choices and rights
You can see, correct, download and delete the information you added. To ask us for anything else, contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights. [Legal review: state privacy laws.]
Security
Connections to Nurtrd are encrypted, and every request for private information is checked against your permissions. Gift links are long random codes that you can turn off at any time.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date. If a change is significant, we'll email you.
